If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

Novelty and Commitment

Whew...

I think the novelty has worn off this blog!

Regardless, here's a quick update on our doings:
  • I'm exploring a cafe run by a charity in the area - and thinking that maybe I could have an accountability meeting there... great reason to be there once a week.
  • Our corps leader is looking at coming along to planning meetings - woohoo!
  • We've been throwing ideas around as to what we can do with our current resources. A couple of ideas close to my heart are in the mix.
  • I'm pondering Christmas ideas. I'd love to hold an open Christmas Eve party. Any ideas/experiences you can share with me?
