If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

StreetWar Contributors still wanted

If you're a Salvo, and you can pass on news about what's happening on the 'front lines' in your town, area or country, I'd love to hear from you. As regular visitors might have gathered, I'm not able to update as much as I'd like lately - but I don't want to see StreetWar go down the tube.

It doesn't matter if your writing style is bad (email reports to me for a cleanup if you're that worried). It doesn't matter if no-one seems to care about your little neck of the woods. Maybe there's nothing going on, and you're concerned about that. Fine - ask for prayer and support from others involved in the fight.

SA Goes Official in Poland

THE Salvation Army has been officially registered as a church in Poland. It was added to the country's register of churches on 21 June and official confirmation of this step was given by the authorities on 12 July. The recognition followed a long and often difficult process which threatened The Salvation Army's future work in Poland.
